The Bishop Hendricken baseball team topped reigning champ South Kingstown in back to back games to punch its ticket to the state championship next week at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket.

The Hawks trailed 4-3 in the sixth inning of Game 2 but would roar back with seven runs to win 10-4. Alex Guindon would get the game-tying RBI single in the sixth, and Braydon Dolbashian would knock in the eventual game-winner in the seventh to give the Hawks the 5-4 lead. Will Panarello and Kevin Gower would then knock in four runs combined to push the lead to 9-4, and another run would be scored on a wild pitch to set the final to 10-4.

The Hawks would win in walk-off fashion in Game 1. Dolbashian led the way at the plate, knocking in all three runs including the game-winner in the bottom of the seventh to give Hendricken the series lead.

The Hawks will now square off against rival La Salle, who topped Portsmouth in two games as well.
