Hendricken seeks nomination for Class of 2017 Hall of Fame

Bishop Hendricken High School is currently accepting nominations for the Class of 2017 Hall of Fame. Nomination categories include arts, distinguished faculty, Hendricken legends, volunteer service, honorary alumnus, alumni service, and distinguished alumnus.

“Our Hall of Fame is designed to honor those individuals who through their commitment, sacrifice, and dedication to Bishop Hendricken High School, have brought pride and distinction to our school community,” wrote the school in a newsletter, “Nominations are accepted on a rolling basis, there are seven categories for nomination as well as a separate Athletic Hall of Fame.”

The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented to a Hendricken alumnus who has distinguished himself in his professional career, or through community service specifically in line with the message of the school.

The Hendricken Legends Award is presented to any group or team within the school community that accomplished something that was a first or a best.

The Honorary Alumni Award is presented to an individual who has been a vital part of Bishop Hendricken’s development but is not a graduate of the school.

The Distinguished Faculty/ Staff Award is presented to a teacher, administrator, or coach, etc., in honor of his or her professional accomplishments, and devotion to education and the students.

The Arts Award is presented to an individual with a passion for the arts; someone who has made significant contributions to the fine and performing arts programs at Hendricken.

The Volunteer Service Award is presented to an individual who has shown exemplary service to the school. It is intended for parents of students or other benefactors who have served Hendricken over the years.

This year’s induction ceremony and mass are scheduled for Sunday, November 5 at 10 am in Dr. Daniel S. Harrop Theater. A reception will follow in Founder’s Hall. Tickets for the event are $50 per adult and free for children under 12.
