He’s backing her

There was no question that retired adjutant Major General Reginald Centracchio is a fan of Ward 3 Councilwoman Camille Vella-Wilkinson. The general was among the more than 130 who attended Vella-Wilkinson’s fundraiser held last Thursday at the William Shields Post in Conimicut. Also in attendance were several Republicans, including Mayor Scott Avedisian, who is seen here with Congressman James Langevin and Vella-Wilkinson. Warwick GOP Party Chairman Mike Penta also attended.

Patientman you have revealed the problem with politics today. Are you seriously suggesting that Democrats and Republicans shouldn't be allowed to be seen together? Are you that bothered by it? People like you are the problem. Politics doesn't have to be blood sport 24/7. That is the job of folks like you, Stacia, Cote and the rest of that group. In the real world people don't take politics as the end all/ be all. It's fine if you don't like the Mayor, Donna Travis and others. I don't agree with them on everything. This nonsense has to stop. EVERY issue is not some big conspiracy, and you all hurt your cause anytime you suggest it is. I'm sure there are alot of issues you and I agree on, this is not one of them. Personal relationships are what's missing from Washington and the state House these days. Everybody retreats to their own corner, and nothing gets done.

Scal, why doesn't the democratic party run an endorsed candidate for Mayor? Because they've already got one in office.

You are obviously not a democrat, so why do you care whether they run an endorsed candidate or not? If you don't like it, field an independent candidate. Or maybe find a REAL candidate to challenge the mayor in a primary. My advice however, try vetting the person first. That way we don't end up with another in over her head, "evolving story" lunatic who is so desperate to make the mayor look bad she has literally lost any sense of reality or her place in the world. I appreciate Mr. Corrente running for public office, however there isn't much of any kind of specifics in his plan. I see reducing spending, while reducing building fees, reducing taxes and giving home tax credits. In other words spend, spend, spend without much being said about what will be cut.
