Howard J. Wilcox, 78, died Tuesday, March 17, 2020.
Howard was a Vietnam veteran serving as a medic in the United States Army. He was employed as a mechanic at Legion Bowl in Cranston for many years retiring in 2004. After his retirement, he continued to work at the Pettis Boatyard in Pawtuxet Village. In 2015, Howard helped to open Day Star Farm, which he continued to help operate with his family.
Since the age of 22, he lived with this adoptive family the late Herbert L. and Helen F. Lunsmann and their children Gary H. Lunsmann, Cynthia J. Lunsmann-Bolduc, Diane M. Grandchamp and the late Hervey “Buddy” Grandchamp. He was considered an uncle to Michael Lunsmann, Christine Dempsey, Melanie Montgomery, Sheena Lunsmann and a great uncle of Cora and Bradford Dempsey and Talia Montgomery.
