James R. Butler, 64, passed away surrounded by his loving family, Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at the Kent Hospital, Warwick.

He was the beloved son of Joyce M. (Coffey) Budlong, and the late Robert L. Butler Jr. Jim was the owner and operator of Butler Construction Company, of Warwick, which he established in 1980. He had a great love for the water and Conimicut Point, where he resided for many years, and was known for his memorable Fourth of July parties at his home. Jim enjoyed all things from the Eastern Culture, yoga, and martial arts. Anyone that knew Jim had a special connection with him, and his dry wit and quirky sense of humor.

James was the loving brother of Jeffrey A. Butler, Craig M. Butler, John “Jay” Baker, Sandra J. Baker, Linda J. McNally, Carol A. Schraeder, Robert L. Butler III, and the late Christopher Butler. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation, Friday, August 10, 2018, from 4-7P.M., in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick.
