Jean S. (Burlingame) Snow

Jean S. (Burlingame) Snow, 88, of Warwick, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at West Shore Health Center. She was the wife of the late George F. Snow, Jr.

Born in Providence and raised in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Earl B.S. Burlingame (USN) and the late Edith M. (Wilbraham) Burlingame, RN, VNA. A member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Cranston Rainbow Girls as a young teen, she continued in the Cranston Rainbow Alumnae for many years. She graduated from Johnson & Wales Business School and worked as a bookkeeper for Textron, Inc. in Providence, then Plantations Bank of RI until she began raising a family.

She is survived by her two sons: Stephen G. Snow & his wife Audrey and Raymond E. Snow both of Warwick and one daughter: Carol A. McCombs-Brown & her husband Bill of Barrington, NH. She also leaves one grandson, Daniel S. McCombs & his wife Betsy and a great-grandson, Simon R. McCombs, all of Epping, NH. She was the sister of the late Earl M. Burlingame and Janice Gardiner.

She was a devoted and supportive mother and grandmother, who delighted in seeing her great-grandson when he came to visit. She will be sadly missed and sweetly remembered.

She will be laid to rest with her husband at The Rhode Island Veteran's Cemetery in Exeter. Burial will be private.
