Jeannine L. Coté RJM, age 81, of St. Timothy Convent, 65 Lake Shore Drive, Warwick, entered eternal life on Friday, October 20, 2017.

Born in Manchester, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Edward E. and Maria L. (Lemay) Coté, and the sister of the late Donald M. Coté. Sister entered the Religious of Jesus and Mary on September 4, 1955, and made her profession of vows on March 3, 1958. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Catholic Teachers’ College in Providence, RI in 1966, and a Master degree in Business from Catholic University in Washington, D.C. IN 1974. Sister began her teaching career at St. Clare Academy in Woonsocket, RI in March 1958, and subsequently held teaching and academic administrative positions at Catholic Schools in Maryland, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, California, New Hampshire, and New York. She came to St. Timothy Convent in Warwick, RI in 2009. Sister was an avid greeting-card designer and maker, and gave workshops on card design and production.

In addition to her community of the Religious of Jesus and Mary, she is survived by a sister-in-law, Claire L. Coté of Hooksett, NH; a niece, Diane Palmer of Bedford, NH; a nephew, David Coté of New York City, NY; a grandniece, Alicia Palmer; a grandnephew, Tim Palmer; and a nephew-in-law, David Palmer.

On Thursday, October 26, in St. Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, RI, relatives and friends are invited to join the Religious of Jesus and Mary at a Wake Prayer Service at 9:15 a.m. This will be followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham, MA.
