Joan E. (Houde) Fallon-Ricci

Joan E. (Houde) Fallon-Ricci, age 86, formerly of Hiawatha Street, Warwick, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 10, 2018. She was the wife of the late Reginald Ricci.

Born in Warwick, a daughter of the late Eugene J. and Mildred H. (Spellman) Houde, she lived in Warwick for most of her life. A registered nurse, Joan was a 1953 graduate of Roger Williams Hospital School of Nursing. She later earned a Bachelors degree and Masters degree from Rhode Island College. She was employed as a nurse-teacher in the Warwick Public Schools for 25 years before retiring. Joan was an avid golfer, and a member of a book club and bridge club. She had traveled all over the world with her girl friends.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Lynn E. Fallon-Palumbo (Salvatore) of Cranston, Stephen E. Fallon (Conetta) of Rockton, IL, David E. Fallon (Ghie) of Westerly, and Cheryl E. Thadeu (Edmund) of Westport, MA; a brother, Earl L. Houde of Warwick; and a grandson, Arthur E. Fallon. She was the sister of the late Eugene F. Houde, and the companion of the late Alton Sprague.

Her funeral was held on Monday, July 16, from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Church, 350 Fair Street, Warwick. Burial was in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
