John A. Kelsall

John A. Kelsall, 65, of Warwick, passed away on Friday at home surrounded by family. He was the husband of Kathleen A. (Giblin) Kelsall.

Born in West Warwick, son of the late Robert and Elsie (Anderson) Kelsall, he had been a Warwick resident for the last thirty-three years. John proudly worked for the R.I. Dept of Transportation for thirty years prior to his retirement in March. He was very active in the community and with the local youth, through the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 1 Gaspee Plateau. One of his favorite places, was Camp Yawgoog in the summertime. He also served as treasurer for the Church of the Transfiguration in Cranston.

Besides his wife, he leaves behind two sons, Jason A. Kelsall and Gregory C. Kelsall, and a daughter, Sarah A. (Kelsall) Idskou and her husband, Brandon Idoskou, one beloved grand-daughter, Lianna Marie Kelsall, and a brother, Paul Kelsall.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, May 16th at 9:00am at the Frank P. Trainor & Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Requiem Mass at 10:00 am in the Church of the Transfiguration, 1665 Broad St., Cranston. Calling hours are Wednesday, May 15th from 5-8 pm. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
