John G. Messineo, 58, of Deltona, Florida, formerly of Warwick, a Building Contractor, died Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Florida Hospital Deland. He was the beloved husband of Theresa Ann (Chavez) Messineo.
Born in Providence, he was a son of Freda Ann (Newman) Gagliardi of Warwick and the late John G. Messineo.
In addition to his wife and mother, John is survived by his devoted children: John G. Messineo, Jr. and Jenna Messineo; a brother: Steven B. Messineo (Erin); and three sisters: Deborah A. Lee (Kevin), Donna (Saika) Messineo and Doreen L. Thomas (Joseph). John was also a devoted grandfather.
His funeral will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Urqhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. www.murphyfuneralhomes.org
