John J. Risica, 89, passed away, Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home. He was the beloved husband of Constance (Rose) Risica for 60 years.

He was a son of the late Antonio and Madelana (Nigrelli) Risica. John was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a graduate of Westerly High School and Bryant College. He worked for GMAC for 30 years before retiring in 1984. John was an active communicant of Sts. Rose and Clement Parish for 58 years. Upon the death of his uncle Ross Nigrelli, John and his beloved cousin, the late Giaochino “Jack” Ragonese became managing partners of the Nigrelli Family Partnership, Mystic CT founded by their grandfather Giaochino Nigrelli in 1927.

He was the loving father of John A. Risica and his wife Liliana; and the late Jeanne Risica; loving grandfather of Stephen Risica and his partner, Brandi Perry; and Juliette Rose Risica and her partner Alex Baines; loving great-grandfather of Gabriella Rose Risica; brother of Madeline Joy; and the late Frank Risica and infant brother Antonio Risica

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Clement Church, Long St., Warwick, Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
