Kristen L. Kelliher and Matthew R. Kent


Kristen Lynne Kelliher of Warwick and Matthew Robert Kent of Warwick were united in marriage July 7, 2012 by Father David F. Ricard at St. Gregory the Great Church. The organist was Heather Skidds and the cantor was Stephen Paterson. A reception followed at Independence Harbor in Assonet, Mass.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Dorothy Kelliher of West Warwick. She graduated from The Prout School in Wakefield. She also graduated summa cum laude from Assumption College with a bachelor’s degree in management and a double minor in finance and education. She is attending law school at Roger Williams University School of Law.

The groom is the son of Robert and Karen Kent of Warwick. He graduated from Bishop Hendricken High School and attended Community College of Rhode Island. He owns a construction company, MRK Builders, LLC.

The bride wore an elegant, ivory, strapless Mon Cheri Vittoria gown with tiara satin, French tulle and lace accented by Swarovski crystal beading. It had a full ball gown skirt with a lace hemline and a cathedral length train. Her veil was one-tier, elbow length and ivory in color. She carried a round bouquet of ivory Vendela and pink Sophie Roses and Stephanotis with crystal centers. The stems were partially braided with ivory satin and a crystal button up.

Kaitlin Kelliher and Karen Kelliher, sisters of the bride, were the maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Katherine Cawly, Paige Forit, cousin of the bride, Amy Gavopoulos, sister of the groom, Kerrie Henderson and Kristyn Primo. Maggie Krippendorf, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.

Andrew Kent, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Jesse Doyle, William Gavopoulos, Keith Kelliher, brother of the bride, Steven Kent Jr., cousin of the groom, and John Maintanis Jr. Dylan Forit, cousin of the bride, the ring bearer.

The couple honeymooned in Europe and took a Scandinavian cruise. They make their home in Warwick.
