URI Master Gardener Lee Menard will be at the Warwick Public Library Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. to share his skill in wreath-making with step-by-step instructions.
The library will provide floral wire. Those planning to participate should bring:
1) a wire coat hanger or wreath ring
2) heavy-duty scissors or small pruning snips
3) wire edge ribbon
4) decorative items such as pine cones, ornaments, silk flowers, dried flowers, and seed pods
5) enough greens to make a wreath, including bittersweet, boxwood, cedar, fir, grapevine, holly, juniper, pine, and spruce.
The URI Master Gardener Program has taught the latest and best gardening practices to gardeners across Rhode Island since 1977. This event is limited to 20 adults.
