On Saturday, Oct. 7, at 6:17 p.m. the Warwick Police Department responded to the area of 61 Airport Road for a crash involving a motorcycle and a car. Warwick Fire Department transported the motorcyclist to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment. The motorcyclist was later pronounced deceased.
The motorcyclist was traveling westerly on Airport Road when a motor vehicle cut into his lane of travel, causing a collision. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet.
The motorcyclist is identified as John Boulay, 48, from Manning Street in Warwick. The Warwick Police Department extends its condolences to the family.
The motorist is identified as James Miller, 30, a resident of Warwick. Speed, distracted driving and impairment do not appear to be factors at this time. Criminal charges are not being sought by the Warwick Police Department. Civil violations are pending and will be issued by the crash reconstruction team.
The Warwick Police Department Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the accident.
