Music For The Soul Summer Series

Notable Works Publication and Distributions Co., Inc. a non profit organization dedicated to Raising Awareness for Environmental and Social Concerns through the arts, hopes that you will consider attending the kick-off to the First Baptist Church of Cross Mills’ “Music for the Soul” Summer Series on June 30, 2019 at 3 PM. The First Baptist Church of Cross Mills is located at 4403 Old Post Road in Charlestown, RI (next to the Cross Mills Library). This concert and poetry reading, which will address current environmental concerns, will feature the Notable Work’s Ensemble: Tina Bernard, vocals and guitar; Maria Bilyeu, cello; Dalita Getzoyan, flute and vocals; Noreen Inglesi, composer, poet and vocals and Alison Shea, piano and vocals. The ensemble will be performing original music and poetry by Artist In Residence, Noreen Inglesi, which depicts through music, song and poetry, some of Rhode Island’s natural treasures such as the preserves at Goosewing Beach, Quicksand Pond, Matunuck Hills and Block Island. This event, will also feature original works by Nancy Carroll of Bonnet Shores, David Dragone of Crosswinds Poetry and Thomas Lane of Providence. In addition, this event will celebrate the release of Notable Works’ new publication Voices of The Earth: The Future of Our Planet, which showcases local poets as they address the natural beauty of our state while tackling the issue of climate change. This book also highlights the efforts of the many environmental agencies in Rhode Island, which are working hard to make a positive difference. Tickets are $12.00 per person (children under 12 years of age are free) and the church is handicapped accessible. The proceeds will benefit local charities and complimentary refreshments provided by Charlestown Famous Pizza and Texas Roadhouse of East Greenwich, Rhode Island.
