Nominations are now open for the 2017 Nonprofit Best Practice Awards.
With Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island, the Rhode Island Foundation's Initiative for Nonprofit Excellence once again will honor Rhode Island nonprofit organizations doing outstanding work in the sector.
Award winners will take part in the production, and retain rights for use, of a video showcasing their organization's work. Winners also will receive an unrestricted grant of $1,000 and will participate in a reception and poster session hosted by our corporate sponsor, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island.
Interested organizations should complete a self-nomination form. Decisions will be made by a committee of experienced professionals familiar with the nonprofit sector.
2017 Best Practice Awards are being offered in the following categories:
Advocacy/communications: changing the game
Board and/or staff leadership: setting the course
Collaboration: collective impact
Innovation: finding new ways
Volunteer engagement: meaningful experiences
Additional information and self-nomination forms are available on the Best Practice Awards page of our website.
Applications are due by July 24. The Best Practice Awards reception, open to the public, will be held on October 3.
Rhode Island Foundation, One Union Station, Providence.
