Cranston resident and head golf professional at Warwick Country Club for 12 years, James DiMarino has joined the Carnegie Abbey Club in a similar position. DiMarino is a proven leader with close to two decades of professional golf experience as a head golf professional and assistant golf professional at some of the most prestigious clubs in the U.S., including the Seminole Golf Club in North Palm Beach, Fla., a Donald Ross-designed course and perennially ranked in the top 10 golf courses in the world; and The Country Club in Brookline, Mass., one of the oldest clubs in the United States and one of the five charter clubs that founded the United States Golf Association. DiMarino is the recipient of numerous awards, including the 2011 New England PGA Golf Professional of the Year. He is a Class ‘A’ member of the PGA of America since 1994 and the current president of the Rhode Island PGA.
