Providence Latin American Film Festival comes to Warwick Library

Four international films will be shown when the 25th Annual Providence Latin American Film Festival comes to Warwick Public Library on September 29 and 30.

On Friday, September 29 at 7 p.m., see the 2016 U.S. documentary "Finding Oscar." Investigators uncover the story of a boy raised by a soldier who helped massacre the boy's family and village during the Guatemalan civil war.

On Saturday, September 30 at 2 p.m., enjoy the 2016 Cuba comedy "El Techo" or "On the Roof." Three young daydreamers start a makeshift Italian-style pizzeria on the Havana rooftop where they hang out.

On Saturday, September 30 at 3:30 p.m., watch the 2016 Ecuador drama "Alba." A painfully shy 11-year-old girl is sent to live with a father she hardly knows when her mother becomes ill.

On Saturday, September 30 at 7 p.m., watch the 2016 Dominican Republic romance "Verdad o Reto" or "Truth or Dare." Aura and Gael meet, fall in love, and are abruptly challenged when Aura is diagnosed with a brain tumor. Can their love survive?
