Roger C. Crosby, age 87, of Holmes Road, Warwick, died on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at Coventry Center. He was the husband of Barbara L. (Megarry) Crosby.

Born in Edmore, Michigan, a son of the late Howard and Alice (Hansen) Crosby, he lived in Warwick since 1959. Mr. Crosby served with the United States Navy for 20 years, retiring from active duty as a Senior Chief in 1968. He was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal with a Bronze Star. From 1969 to 1989 he was employed by Northeast Clarklift in Warwick. Mr. Crosby was a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club, Narragansett Chapter. He was a former Boy Scout Leader with Troop 2 Hillsgrove.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Deborah J. Loveridge of Swansea, MA, Karen A. New of Coventry, and Bethany S. Morse of North Kingstown, a son, Jeffrey A. Crosby of Scituate; and two brothers, Percy Eugene Crosby and Charles Crosby, both of Michigan. He was the grandfather of eleven; and the great-grandfather of seventeen. He was the brother of the late Virginia Cornell, Janet Riggle, and Betty Olin.

His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 14, at 10 a.m. in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick. Burial with military honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
