Russell I. Maymon, age 88, of Dickens Street, Warwick, died at home on Friday, May 12, 2017. He was the husband of Margaret J. (Koucheravy) Maymon. They were married for 56 years.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Chester and Ethel (MacRae) Maymon, he was a life-long Warwick resident. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Maymon was a retired Deputy Tax Assessor for the City of Warwick.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons: Robert Maymon of Warwick, Russell Maymon (Kathy) of North Kingstown, William Maymon (Cheryl) of Punta Gorda, FL, and James Maymon (Sloane) of Branford, CT; a brother, Wilbur Maymon of Stuart, FL; two sisters, Doris Erban of Attleboro and Grace Ashworth of Venice FL; and seven grandchildren: Christopher, Taryn, Kelsey, Jackson, Brendan, Casey, and Avery. He was the brother of the late Chester Maymon, Robert Maymon, Herbert Maymon, Thomas Maymon, Albert Maymon, Clara Fredrikson, and Velma Jackson.

His funeral was held on Tuesday, May 16, from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Burial with military honors were in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
