Ruth A. (Gray) Lambert, age 81, formerly of Jefferson Street, Warwick, died on Friday, April 28, 2017, at The Holiday Retirement Home in Manville. She was the wife of the late Donald A. Lambert and the late Armand D’Ovidio.

Born in Westerly, the daughter of the late Philip E. and Esther (Peterson) Gray, she lived in Warwick since 1964. Mrs. Lambert was employed at the Stop & Shop store in the Meadowbrook Plaza in Warwick for 20 years before retiring. She was a former manager of a Cumberland Farms store on Warwick Avenue in Warwick. For many years she was a member of the 4-H and the Norwood Grange. She was a former Sunday School teacher.

She is survived by three sons: Donald E. Rowell, Jr. (Nancy) of Lincoln, Sidney A. Rowell of Far Hills, NJ, and Philip D. Rowell (Frances) of Cranston; a brother, Frederick Gray of Arlington, VA; and three grandchildren\:, Tyler K. Rowell, Dylan K. Rowell, and James P. Rowell. She was the sister of the late Philip B. Gray.

Her funeral service was held on Monday, May 1, in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick. Burial will be private. www.barrettandcotter.com
