Representatives of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar presented a check for $93,104.00 to WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon on Aug. 22 at Fenway Park in Boston, Mass. The funds were raised through several local events during the months of April and May at 30 Applebee’s restaurants throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island, owned and operated by Apple American Group, as well as at an Applebee’s golf tournament in June. Additionally, guests who visited their local Applebee’s were given the opportunity to donate and receive an in-store pin-up, showcasing their support. One hundred percent of the funds raised were donated to The Jimmy Fund to support the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and its commitment to providing adults and children with cancer with the best treatment available today while developing tomorrow's cures through cutting-edge research. Throughout the New England area, the participating Applebee’s restaurants in Rhode Island include Coventry, Cranston, Greenville, Middletown, South Kingstown, Warwick, Westerly and Woonsocket.
