WACTC Automotive team of Lynn Gurchik and Ian Donahue competed and placed first in the recent 2020 Ocean State Automotive Competition sponsored by New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) and the RI Automotive Dealer's Association. Both students received automotive tools and a $15,000 scholarship to NEIT. The two students will be representing Rhode Island during April vacation at the New York Auto show competing for the national championship. Fifteen years ago, Jason Marley, their auto teacher, won the same state competition as a student at WACTC. Pictured from left are Lynn Gurchik, Jason Marley (teacher and coach) and Ian Donahue.
