Mayor Joseph Solomon did the honors Aug. 17 as a remodeled and larger Beach Café and Pub at 805 Oakland Beach Ave. opened for business. The establishment, which is open Monday 3 to 9 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday and on Sunday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., also offers an event room for private parties. The room is dedicated to Evan Michael Baker, the late son of John and Lisa Baker.
