Aniole Marie of Flamingo Drive in Warwick celebrated her 101st birthday surrounded by family and her caretakers. Her daughter, Marie Joseph, pictured here to her right, joked with her mother, calling her the queen and adorning her with a crown. Aniole was more interested in getting some rest rather than indulge her. Originally from Haiti, Aniole moved to the States in 1975, and moved to Warwick last year. She volunteered many years in Haiti helping to build churches, and Marie said her mother’s faith in God has been the secret to her longevity. “When you invite God into what you do, you will prosper,” she said. Also pictured is Marie Joseph’s son, Tyler. (Warwick Beacon photo)
