Warwick Senator Erin Lynch-Prata was among 36 officials, business leaders and members of the media to try their luck at the 6th annual Twin River Casino Hotel Holiday Blackjack Tournament for Charity held Dec. 4. Each of the players started off with $2,000 in chips. After five hands, the winner from each table sat at the champions’ table, where they played another five rounds. Regardless of where they placed, each player won a minimum of $1,000 for the charity of their choice. The overall winner, Paul DeRoche, won $10,000 for Crossroads Rhode Island. Twin River Casino Hotel donated a total of $60,000 during the event. Lynch-Prata won $1,000 for Special Olympics. (Warwick Beacon photo)
