Veterans Junior High School eighth graders conducted a relay for life to raise funds for the American Cancer Society June 9 at the school track. With sunny conditions for the first time in seemingly ages, conditions were perfect and spirits ran high. Sam Pennacchia exhibited his exuberance doing cartwheels down the track to the amusement of his friends, who kept count. The relay raised more than $800 to fight cancer. (Warwick Beacon photo)
