The Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce installation dinner was held Thursday at the Warwick Country Club with Joseph D. Lajoie of Greenwood Credit Union being sworn in as chairman of the board of directors. He spoke of the chamber’s work from business after hours events to the Rocky Point 5K that has raised more than $60,000 for community non-profits. He spoke of the connections made by the chamber and how they have helped grow businesses, the economy and the community. Joining Lajoie on the board are chair-elect Gregory Gould of Webster Bank; vice chair Alfred Grant of the Washington Trust Co.; treasurer Louis Amitrano CPA/CGMA/MST with Gilligan & Bianco LLC; secretary Brent Wyrostek of Arrest-A-Pest; past chair Jo-Ann Schofield of Mentor Rhode Island; and legal counsel Joseph J. McGair. Above, the board, chamber ambassadors and Young Professionals chaired by Erica McQuesten gather for a group photo. Following dinner, “America’s Master Mentalist” Jon Stetson amazed the audience of more than 120 with his telepathic abilities.
