Warwick Mall was humming Friday as shoppers turned out to snap up deals of the season, starting early in the morning. The parking lots were packed and the mood was festive – how could it not be when prices were slashed 50, 60 and even 70 percent on select items? As Andrea Diarbi of Cranston said as she and her son left Macy’s carrying bags, “It made our day.” Toll Gate Principal Candace Caluori, who was found shopping for a blazer at Macy’s, said, “I know a bargain when I see one.” Even Salvation Army bell ringer Francisca Giron was in a holiday mood. She has worked as a bell ringer before and said people are generous, albeit a little bit slower to open their wallets quite yet. After all, the season has just begun.

I honestly don't know how people do this year after year. I get anxiety just looking at the pictures of all the people and cars!
