Christine Smith, who grew up in Warwick, graduated from Pilgrim and now lives in Westmoreland County, Virginia with her family, always loves to come home. She and her husband, Christopher, and daughter, Mary Elizabeth, were back visiting friends here over the weekend. Even though the temperatures were in the 40s one of their first stops on Friday was Dear Hearts Ice Cream in Pawtuxet. Eating their delights on the bridge and looking at the river brought back memories. Their 2-year-old twin son and daughter stayed in Virginia, but surely they’ll visit one day…and make the stop at Dear Hearts. (Warwick Beacon photo)
