On Wednesday, August 1, Macy’s colleagues, including Mark Fachetti, Macy’s Warwick store manager, visited Rhode Island Community Food Bank to present a $6,686 check from funds raised through Macy’s Bag Hunger campaign. During the morning, the group sorted and packed food in the production warehouse and then presented the check to Rhode Island Community Food Bank to further support its mission of alleviating hunger in our communities. Bag Hunger has been a symbol of Macy’s give back commitment for more than 20 years. This campaign provides Macy’s customers and colleagues all across the country an opportunity to contribute food, money and time to local agencies like Rhode Island Community Food Bank. This year alone, Macy’s colleagues and customers raised the equivalent of $3.6 million nationwide. (Photo by Stew Milne)
