Smoothing out bumps at City Hall

This is the season for potholes, as Derek Smith of the Department of Public Works knows all too well. He estimated he fills between 30 and 40 of them a day. This one was in the City Hall parking lot. Smith fills the hole with “cold patch” that is then covered with sand to prevent it from adhering to passing vehicles and tamped down. (Warwick Beacon photo)
