Fall surprise

Last Thursday night’s storm that dumped six inches of snow before turning to rain set a record for the date. City crews were out to clear the slush before the Friday morning commute and by mid-day, with temperatures in the 40s, much of it was gone. For a while, however, it had the feel of a blizzard, as snow quickly filled streets like Blake Street in Conimicut as seen here. (Warwick Beacon photo)
