On Tuesday morning, Mayor Scott Avedisian invited fellow Providence College alumni to City Hall for a photograph session to honor the 100th anniversary of the founding of Providence College. After the formal photographs, Mayor Avedisian gave all the participants plastic glasses from Father Shanley, the president of the college, which they raised in a salute to the institution.
