Sandra D. Ginsbury, 83, passed away peacefully at her home in Warwick Neck, RI surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife to John Ginsbury.

Born in Pawtucket RI, she was the daughter of Clifford and Genevieve Edwards and the sister of Gail Southworth. She was the devoted mother to Glenn Ahlborg, Eric Ahlborg and Kristen Beecroft Miranda. She was the doting grandmother of 11 grandchildren, Austin Ahlborg, Ross Ahlborg, Chace Ahlborg, Cole Ahlborg, Max Miranda, Jack Miranda, Olivia Ahlborg, Abby Ahlborg, Connor Ahlborg, Christian Ahlborg and Parker Ahlborg.

Sandra (lovingly named Nan by her grandchildren) was a passionate golfer who walked the golf course each time she played. She achieved the success of winning 7 Women’s Club Championships at Warwick Country Club as well as many other victories. She also had belonged to the Paris International Golf Club in Paris France. Cypress Lakes Golf Club in Fort Myers Florida and her most favorite, The Tryall Club in Hanover Jamaica where she had a home for 20 years.

Sandra, also know as Sandy by her friends, was born and raised in Pawtucket RI where she graduated from Pawtucket East High School in 1953. She was voted by her classmates as “most attractive” and “most popular”. She went on to become a fashion model before getting married and having children.

Nan developed many caring and devoted friendships with people from all around the world. She excelled at entertaining her friends and family with lavish dinner parties and enjoyed seeing the smiling faces and hearing the laughter from them all. She has lived in Snug Harbor RI, Naples Florida, Paris France, Hong Kong, Hanover Jamaica and Warwick Neck RI, where she has had a home over looking Narragansett Bay for many decades.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday June 12, 10:00 a.m. at Swan Point Cemetery in Providence to which relatives and close friends are invited, followed by a celebration of Nan's life at Warwick Country Club at noon.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Hasbro Children’s Hospital (P.O.
