Shirley A. (Chappron) Rainone, 80, a retired bookkeeper passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Kent Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joseph “Chick” Rainone, Jr.
She was a daughter of the late Philip J. and Anne (Larkin) Chappron. Shirley was a charter member and communicant of St. Kevin Church were she donated her time for many years. She also was an avid Redsox, Duke, and NBA fan.
Shirley was the beloved mother of Ronald M. Rainone (Karen), William J. Rainone and Joseph P. Rainone (Annmarie); loving grandmother of John (Michelle), Stephen (Lauren), Danielle, Brittney, Brianna and Philip; loving great-grandmother of Brendan, Camille and Arabella. She was the sister of William Chappron (Betty), Michael Chappron (Cindy), Sandra Sacranona (Thomas) and the late Cathy Chappron.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visiting hours, Monday 4-8 p.m.
