The Greenwood Community Church 39ers, a group that meets monthly for fun entertainment and informative programs, will meet Wednesday, October 16 at 1:30 p.m. to hear songwriter Joanne Lurgio sing and play her guitar. The event is open to all seniors who are celebrating their 39th birthdays one or more times. “We are fun group and love meeting new members in the community,” says organizer Harry Curran. Greenwood is celebrating its 75th year as a local church and is located near the Main Avenue intersection and Jefferson Boulevard. Contact Harry Curran 737-4543 for more info.
