Blessed as a learning place

Father Roger Gagne, pastor of St. Peter Church, blesses the new outdoor classroom with the help of students at St. Peter School. The Sister Mary Angelus Outdoor Classroom is a welcome addition to the school, and the blessing made by Father Gagne helped mark the event in the school’s history. This outdoor classroom can accommodate up to 65 students at a time and even though it’s inclement, the weather will just be incorporated into the outside studies.

TEAMING UP: Jon Alvarez, father of two currently attending at St. Peter School, and Father Gagne, show off their favorite area of the school. By utilizing the new Sister Mary Angelus Outdoor Classroom, they hope students will be able to better learn about nature, the environment, and their surroundings. Alvarez created the project in May of this year, and with the help of Father Gagne unveiled it on Wednesday, September 4 at 11 a.m.
