Gasoline prices in Rhode Island remain the same this week, according to AAA Northeast.
AAA Northeast’s January 13 survey of prices in Rhode Island finds self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.57 per gallon. Rhode Island’s price is 1 cent below the national average of $2.58. A year ago at this time, the average price in Rhode Island was 17 cents lower at $2.40 per gallon.
“A healthy and growing level of gasoline supply alongside decreasing demand are two factors helping to minimize gas price fluctuations,” said Lloyd Albert, Senior Vice President of AAA Public and Government Affairs. “In the last week, 32 states saw pump prices push less expensive by just a penny or two or saw no change at all.”
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 38 cents, from a low of $2.41 to a high of $2.79.
