Warwick Police have identified Jason Theberge, 44, of Warwick, as the suspect in the robbery that took place at Dunkin Donuts located at 422 Warwick Avenue on April 9.

On that date a male entered the store wearing a scary Halloween mask, displaying a dark colored handgun. The suspect was allegedly yelling at the employees to get out to the front of the store where he was. In fear of this being a robbery, the females fled the store and called police. As they fled, they observed a yellow ATV type vehicle parked behind the business running with the lights on. On surveillance video the suspect can then be seen forcibly removing the cash drawer from the register and fleeing the store with it. The suspect is then observed on video getting on the yellow ATV and driving towards the front of the store onto Warwick Avenue. A total of $200 in cash was stolen from the business during this incident.

Investigation developed Theberge as the suspect, and on May 5 Theberge was taken into custody without incident. Theberge was charged with one count of first degree robbery, one count of carrying a dangerous weapon when committing a crime of violence, and possession of a firearm by persons convicted of crime of violence.

Theberge is scheduled to be arraigned today in court on these charges.
