STOLEN WALLET

On April 13 around 3:45 p.m., Officer Ryan Lancaster met with a woman at police headquarters to assist her with a theft case.

The complainant stated that she had left the parking lot of the Bald Hill Road Walmart and Burlington stores on April 12 between the hours of 5 and 6 p.m., but shortly afterwards realized that she had forgotten her wallet in a shopping cart. Upon her return to the lot, she was unable to locate the wallet.

The woman spoke with a Burlington loss prevention employee, who said she had noticed an unknown female pick up the wallet and enter the store. She was observed opening the wallet and examining its contents before proceeding to the bathroom. There the wallet was retrieved by security as it had been thrown in a trashcan.
