Five people have been charged in connection with an early-morning incident at a Warwick establishment that left two people with stab wounds.

According to a statement from Warwick Police, officers responded to a report of a disturbance at All Stars Bar & Grill at 685 Airport Road at approximately 1:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers arriving at the scene found two male victims – both 25 and from Warwick – with what appeared to be multiple stab wounds to the neck and torso. Both men were transported to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries. They were reportedly in stable condition as of Wednesday afternoon.

Police say John Decarlo, 35, of Brooklyn, New York, is charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder, possession of a prohibited weapon other than a firearm – in this case, a knife with a blade larger than 3 inches – and disorderly conduct. He was due to be arraigned in Third Division District Court on Wednesday afternoon.

Four other men – Yannis Pavlis, 26, of Warwick; Jonathan S. Paquin, 23, of Warwick; Nicholas E. Marasco, 26, of Narragansett; and Jason E. Moniz, 29, of Providence – have been charged with disorderly conduct in connection with the incident. They were each released with a summons to appear in district court.

Police said their investigation remains ongoing, and anyone who witnessed the incident or has additional information is asked to contact detectives at 468-4233.

Shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 31, Officer Brian J. Holleran was conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Post Road and Arnolds Neck Drive when he observed a Jeep Cherokee traveling below the posted 35 mph speed limit and repeatedly crossing the white fog line.

Holleran initiated a motor vehicle stop and made contact with the operator, at which point he detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle and the operator’s breath. The operator is said to have had “bloodshot, watery eyes” and acknowledged consuming alcohol earlier that night.

The operator is said to have agreed to undergo field sobriety testing, which he reportedly failed.

Michael Pierce, 40, 28 King St., Apt. 4, East Greenwich, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and transported to Warwick Police headquarters for processing. At headquarters, he is said to have agreed to submit to a chemical breath test, which reportedly found his blood alcohol content to be significantly above the legal limit.
