DUI
On Oct. 25 at 10:05 p.m., Sgt. John M. Curley IV and other officers responded to Raymour & Flanagan at 444 Quake Lane for a report of a two-car motor vehicle accident with injuries.
At the scene, Curley assisted one of the officers in speaking with one of the operators involved in the accident. The sergeant reports that he detected a “moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage” emanating from the man’s breath, and that the man had “bloodshot and watery” eyes.
The man is said to have acknowledged consuming alcohol earlier that night and agreed to undergo field sobriety testing, which he reportedly failed.
Bruno Tucci, 51, 44 Juniper Drive, West Warwick, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence and transported to Warwick Police headquarters for processing. While at headquarters, Tucci is said to have refused a chemical breath test.
Tucci was later released into the custody of a sober adult and issued a summons to appear in Third Division District Court on a charge of driving under the influence. He was additionally cited for refusal to submit to a chemical test and a laned roadway violation.
LARCENY
On Oct. 29 at 5:32 p.m., Officer Kevin P. Warren met with a person at Warwick Police headquarters regarding a reported larceny.
The reporting party told Warren that her Husqvarna snowblower had been chained to a tree next to her house on Charlotte Drive and had last been seen at approximately 8 a.m. on Oct. 23. She noticed the snowblower – valued at roughly $1,300 – was missing on the evening of Oct. 24.
No security camera footage was immediately available. The matter was documented and forwarded to detectives. *** At approximately 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 30, Sgt. Joshua P. Myer met with a person at Warwick Police headquarters regarding a reported larceny.
The reporting party told Myer that the handicap placard was stolen from his vehicle while he shopped at Trader Joe’s, located at 1000 Bald Hill Road, earlier that day. The reporting party said he had been inside the store for roughly 10 minutes and that no other items were taken from the vehicle.
The matter was documented.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
On Oct. 20 at approximately 12:45 a.m., Officer Damian J. Andrews was conducting a liquor check and directed patrol at The Trap, located at 195 Old Forge Road.
Andrews reports that he was speaking with the establishment’s bouncers when they were called inside to deal with a disturbance. The officer followed the bouncers and saw a large group of people gathered in a corner, as a fight appeared to be ensuing.
Bouncers then requested that Andrews remove a male patron from the establishment. The officer escorted the man outside and conducted a pat-down, which revealed a set of brass knuckles in the man’s front pocket.
Nicholas Charron, 23, 18 Airport Road, Coventry, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and possession of prohibited weapons other than firearms. He was transported to Warwick Police headquarters for processing and later released with a summons to appear in Third Division District Court.
