Few people care much about the world of payroll in business – until something goes wrong and employees do not get paid. That creates real problems for those now racing to ensure their financial obligations are met and their checks are not returned for insufficient funds.

In the case of Dean Perdikakis, Operator of Freeway Laundry and Freeway Car Wash, he said the situation involving another payroll company and their lack of customer service prompted him to change over to CSC Paymaster, a Warwick payroll and human capital management services provider.

“We used another payroll company who made several promises that never really materialized,” said Perdikakis, of Cranston, whose corporate headquarters is based in Providence and also has locations throughout Greater Providence. “John Andrews [of CSC Paymaster] was at the right place at the right time. I researched the company, and everyone I spoke with all said the same positive things about them. They're a local company who were able to save us a tremendous amount of money over our previous payroll provider. The fact their customer services support is 10 times better made it a no-brainier for us to sign with them.”

Andrews, a CSC Paymaster Account Executive, said they recently installed state-of-the-art time management equipment at each of the Freeway locations, and provided them with the latest in payroll software technology the industry has to offer. He said the old techniques Freeway used took their human resources department a half day to complete payroll.

According to Andrews, Perdikakis’ company has already seen benefits from the change.

“Now that we have completed our plan of action, Freeway has a much more efficient and streamlined payroll platform, saving them both time and money compared to what they were previously utilizing,” Andrews said.
