August 17, 2018. Remember this date. This is the day that the PawSox owners plan to move to Worcester. What a shame. What a shame. Move our beloved Pawtucket Red Sox from Rhode Island to Worcester, Mass.
I don’t think enough was being done to keep the PawSox in Rhode Island. From the governor on down to Speaker Mattiello. Most of us thought this day would never come. But it did and it’s over, done, finished. What a shame. What a shame. There is plenty of blame to go around.
The only person that did all he could to save the PawSox was Mayor Grebien of Pawtucket.
They should have renovated the old stadium or put it on a ballot for the voters to decide. Now what happens to McCoy Stadium and the City of Pawtucket. Once 2021 comes our field of dreams will be gone forever. What a shame.

I bet if we look hard enough, we can find a group of billionaires that have a team somewhere that is looking for some good old fashioned welfare. We could get in a bidding war and draw them here.

Do you get the impression, Justanidiot, that the same people who think more could have been done to keep the Sox in Rhode Island are the same ones who'd scream about the tax increases that would have paid for it?
As you suggest, once Larry Lucchino [one of a group of billionaires who drew us into a bidding war] got involved, it was over.
