Wilhelmina M. “Billie” Carlson, 96, of Country Club Drive, died February 25, 2012 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late William F. Carlson.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Emma O. (Geisel) Mott. She worked as a secretary, first as head secretary at Moses Brown School and later for the State of Rhode Island, working in the Division of Taxation. Billie enjoyed needlework, especially knitting hats for the babies at Women & Infants’ Hospital in Providence.

She is survived by her two daughters, Gretchen Finnell of Warwick and Kristine Dreyer of West Warwick; two sons-in-law, Terry Finnell and Richard Dreyer; and her beloved pets. She was the sister of the late Bradford Mott, Karl Mott and Adelma Wiggins.

A private family service was held Feb. 27, followed by burial in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
