Wrong path on health care

To the Editor:

The Graham-Cassidy bill is an extreme proposal that would increase costs for older Americans with an age tax, cut coverage, and price gouge people with pre-existing conditions like cancer, diabetes and heart disease.

Graham-Cassidy would jeopardize older Americans' ability to stay in their own homes as they age and threaten coverage for people with disabilities and people who live in nursing homes.

AARP, doctors, hospitals and patient advocates all agree that this bill is the wrong path forward on health care. This bill must not be passed

If you are a bad driver, you pay higher auto insurance premiums. If you have a bad health history, you pay higher life insurance premiums. If you are a trapeze artist you pay higher disability insurance premiums. Why, on earth, would you not pay higher premiums if your history indicates that you will need more medical services than someone with a clean health history?
