Arthur Yatsko, GRI, AHWD, ESRES, will serve as 2016 president of the 4,400-member Rhode Island Association of Realtors (RIAR). Yatsko, the broker/owner of the Salisbury Agency, will assume the presidency upon his return from the National Association of Realtors Conference in San Diego, Calif., in November.
A licensed real estate agent since 1977, Yatsko is a past president of the Rhode Island Commercial and Appraisal Board of Realtors and was twice elected the board’s Realtor of the Year. He has also served as a director of the Statewide Multiple Listing Service, RIAR representative on the R.I. Department of Environmental Management’s Business Roundtable and Environmental Justice Committee, RIAR Government Affairs Committee member, and chair of the Realtor Troop Support Task Force, which aids military families with housing-related needs. He is a graduate of Providence College and resides in Warwick with his wife, Maggie.
Other 2016 officers installed at the Association’s 2015 Installation and Recognition Dinner include: President-Elect Brenda Marchwicki of BisMarc Properties in Providence; Vice President Joseph Luca of RE/MAX Preferred in North Providence; Treasurer Danielle Thompson of RE/MAX River’s Edge in Bristol; and Secretary Joseph McCarthy of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Warwick.
