The Pilgrim Players will present “Almost, Maine,” opening Friday with performances on Saturday and Sunday at the school. Written by John Cariani and premiered in 2004, the play is comprised of nine short plays that explore falling in and out of love in a mystical, remote town of Almost, Maine. Director Richard Denningham said the play was chosen as it calls for a large cast – 17 students have roles. More than 20 students are members of the crew. Dennigham said the show offers different portrayals of love that range from the comical to the thought provoking, emotional and sad. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7 p.m. The Sunday matinee is at 2 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students, seniors and children under 10 and may be purchased at the door.
