A walk in the garden
Stephen Casserly of Yard Works strolls through the “Belle Jardin” that the Warwick-based landscaping company designed and built for the Rhode Island Spring Flower and Garden Show held at the Rhode Island Convention Center. Designed by Kevin Fox, R. W. Thayer and Christopher Seger, the Belle Jardin “captures the essence of 20th Century Europe” as a mix of the Renaissance garden and the less formal English garden designs of the 18th Century. The Yards Works display contained more than 200 tulips, flowering pear trees, Japanese maples and scores of other shrubs and trees. With the Boston flower show having been canceled, the turnout to the Rhode Island Show saw an up-tick in attendance.
